Yoga in the Tradition of
B.K.S. Iyengar

Iyengar yoga is focused on precise alignment, holding poses for extended periods, and breath awareness.

B.K.S. Iyengar was born in 1918 in India and has dedicated his life to the art and science of yoga.  Iyengar’s unique understanding of human physiology offers us the opportunity for deep healing.  His method is particularly suited for—though not limited to—therapeutic use.  The precise understanding of proper body alignment combined with breath awareness lends itself to recovery from injury, illness, or chronic conditions.  The essence of yoga is to bring body, mind, and spirit together in harmony.  Everyone can benefit from this form of practice.

Vipassana Meditation

"In private Yoga Sessions, Cator was able to modify yoga poses around my disabilities. She carefully broke down each move and made sure I did it right. What a difference that makes!

Cator's Craniosacral therapy is amazing. It doesn't seem like she's doing anything. She just holds your feet, back, then your head. Yet the psychological and physical release is profound, and the whole process is pleasurable and comforting."

Insight meditation, or Vipassana, was taught by the Buddha over 2,500 years ago.  This timeless practice continues to have relevance for our lives today.  Insight meditation is the practice of sitting quietly and observing one’s breath and body sensations.  Through this simple way of cultivating stillness, we can learn to calm the mind, quiet the body, and heal the heart.
